The Only Thing I Hesitate to Wear is Fear!

At Guau we endorse bold yet chic looks for our women... one that allows them to indulge, iconify & explore their truest fashion calling without any inhibitions... how often do women do that? By 'that' I mean whatever it is that they really want to do.
What I am trying to say here is that only to dress boldly will never be enough, fear is paralytic...it will make it's way beyond fabric and give u away.
So my dear lil Princesses out there please remember - A girl is a princess not only for her prince but also for the people of this world!

Devil in the Details

Every piece of clothing is a work of art and collaborative imagination of persons/processes... but poorly-made clothes have a kind of an 'end of the world' side effect on your personality. A lot of us buy less expensive dresses that aren't stitched to the last detail but look good on us for those few hours and those exact 2 occasions (i know u do it) before pointlessly falling apart...
Now how wise is that? If I had to offer you an analogy, it's really like choosing between a man who looks good on you for a while over one that simply is, period.
In earlier days designers had seamstresses who were experts at making a dress stitch by stitch, a woman looked magnificent because of the story in it's detail, pure and unmatched.. to create a feeling that made you say Guau mira eso!
So here is a little word of caution... next time you pick a dress be sure to make a choice and know that it reflects a few details about your personality, whether you pick one that is for a while fancy or one that while you are in it, makes each moment last forever.

Story of my Dress

What's a perfect dress?
An airy, smooth, comely a-shaped white lace gown... fitting your curves just right and spelling pure joy right to your soul~yeah that's the dress i'm talking about, one that makes you feel like this world is flawless and hence, so are you!
What are the really big days in a girl's life? Her first prom, the most special date,  21st birthday, her wedding, 1st anniversary (funnily each of these occasions we dress for the very special men in our lives)
Well the real truth is one can make as many days special for one reason or another but each of these days needs a specific dress to really complete the experience in totality. I'm not saying you need a dress to impress the world or be somebody... but it sure does put you in HD my love (high definition) :)
And that is exactly what I mean here, life is like they say a celebration of sorts, none of which is complete without that perfect dress.
The beauty and satisfaction that a gorgeous dress with its fine fabric, impeccable embroidery and luxe touch can bring to a woman's life is simply rare... without it - you "may" not feel incomplete but with it you are truly alive! #loveguau #loveyourself

From Fibers to Fabrics

As i went on to get dressed for a night out this past saturday to see some very special friends in my very special city Bombay...my evening was followed by a blur of last minute tweaks, a light touch up, a rumble with which dress to wear while instinctively picking the one up, immediately feeling gorgeous, i hurriedly left home... standing still in the lift looking down at the beautiful texture of my Dior dress embroidered in black flowery lace i landed on a deep thought -
'how does the universe of fibers turned in to fine fabric subtly mould each woman to be her own orator'
I'll tell you how but first let me give you a heads up, this note is slightly more knowledge based unlike the practical in-vogue fashion articles from earlier. It is for those who truly want to understand the soul of their clothing almost as if it were an out of body experience...
From coloring techniques to weaving to the all time famous inter-lock knit, designing a dress and making sure it reaches completion is as much an art as science. The recent introduction of synthetic textiles has greatly enhanced an array of options available for fabric manufacturers, due to force of habit we always go for brands but it's really the fabric used that defines an outfit's true worth and class. For instance, wool, silk, fur and linen are considered luxe all over the world. Especially,Vicuna (can't go without mention) a kind of wool that is by far the most expensive fabric ever!
Now coming to the commercial side of this discussion.
Coco Chanel who was once a complete nobody decided to go by her means and develop un beat fashion with the jersey coats which were cheap and comfortable. No doubt that soon became a rage and she a millionaire.
What does this really tell us?
Is it that money buys style or that exquisite fabric defines luxury or that fashion is an intangible idea that any nobody can interpret... ???
Ooor is it what we at Guau believe, which my love is ~
What is life if not made from supreme fabric? :) #happythinking
